My Hair Smells Like Meredith Grey’s: My Favourite Hair Products

Wow, it has been 6 days since I last uploaded a blog post. I am sorry that I haven’t posted in, what feels like a century. As I have mentioned previously in other blog posts, I have several health conditions, and this past week, I just haven’t felt well enough to write a blog post, or to take photos for said blog posts. But I’m back (for now at least), I am still feeling equally as awful, but I decided I needed to get back on the blogging horse. Is that even a term? Well, if not, it is now!

Today I thought I would talk to you guys about my current favourite hair products. In all fairness, I don’t really use much product on my hair. But I absolutely love these two.

Faith In Nature – Lavender & Geranium Shampoo and Conditoner

FullSizeRender (2)

I am absolutely in LOVE with this shampoo (and the conditioner – although, sadly, I have run out of the conditioner). I don’t know about you guys, but I adore the scent of lavender. It is one of my very favourite fragrances. It is so calming, but also a very fresh scent.

There is a little story as to why I now use lavender shampoo. So, I was watching Grey’s Anatomy – if you know me, then you know I am obsessed with that show. At this point, I was re-watching season 1, or maybe it was season 2 – I am a little fuzzy on the exact season I was watching at that point. But during one of the episodes, Derek told Meredith that he loved her conditioner, and she said that it was lavender. Instantly I was desperate to get my hands on some lavender shampoo and/or conditioner so that my hair would smell the same as Meredith Grey’s. Pathetic, sad and down right cringe worthy, I know. But hey, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
My wonderful Mum treated me to some lavender shampoo, and since I have had hair that smells like Meredith Grey’s.

I can 100% see why Meredith uses lavender shampoo/conditioner, because this is now my favourite ever shampoo. I have used loads of different shampoo brands, and loads of different shampoo fragrances. But this has topped them all. Not only is the fragrance the best ever, but it also leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth, and that is even without conditioner! It is incredible. I do always do 2 washes with the shampoo per hair wash, just so that my hair feels squeaky clean. Although I am sure that the shampoo would leave your hair feeling just as smooth and soft with just one wash with the shampoo.

Want to get your hands on some of this lavender shampoo? It is currently on offer at Superdrug for half price! This means it is £2.73! The conditioner is also half price, and is also £2.73, opposed to the usual price of £5.49. Click here if you want to order yourself some, and see what all the fuss is about!

Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly Scrunching Jelly

FullSizeRender (3)

The Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly Scrunching Jelly is currently my other favourite hair product. I don’t use this product on a daily basis, I only use it when I am wearing my hair natural, and have the need to scrunch up my curls. I do like to wear my hair natural every now and again, I try to let my hair have a bit of a break from all the curling irons and straighteners that it experiences on a daily basis. The last thing I want to do is completely fry my hair! I usually wear my hair natural once every 1.5/2 weeks, I would wear it natural more often, but I find that my hair tends to become very matted if it left natural for too long, or too often.

In all truth, I could wear my hair naturally curly without any product, but the Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly Scrunching Jelly adds the finishing touches to my natural hair look. I tend to use a few pea size amounts of this product, I put it on the end of my fingers, rub my fingers together and then I just scrunch away at my hair like there is no tomorrow! My curls after even more pronounced once I have used this product, and it doesn’t even make my hair too sticky. This is definitely a point in its favour, that’s for sure!

Well, there you have it, those are my two current favourite hair products. If you haven’t already tried these guys out, then you totally should.

Love & light,

Sophie x
